What We Aim For
In a sunlit living room, a grandmother who would turn seventy-five that year gently ran her fingers over an old photo album, surrounded by her grandchildren.
“Grandma,” one of them asked, “what was your happiest memory with Grandpa?”
At the question, her eyes softened, and she smiled as though opening a drawer filled with treasured memories.
“Well,” she said, “I have more happy memories than I could ever count. But if I had to choose the one moment that filled my heart more than any other—the moment I felt the deepest happiness—it would have to be the day he proposed.”
With her grandchildren leaning in, eager to hear more, she began to speak, a little shyly, yet with unmistakable pride.
“It was just an ordinary date,” she said. “We were walking together through a large park near our home. Your grandfather had been restless all morning, quieter than usual. I kept wondering what was wrong, and then, all of a sudden, he stopped walking.”
In her eyes, it was as if the young man he had once been was standing there before her again.
“He took a deep breath,” she said, “and right in the middle of the park, in a voice so loud it sent the birds around us flying, he shouted:
‘Please marry me! I will cherish you for the rest of my life!’
“It was so clumsy, so unpolished, and so completely sincere. The whole park seemed to fall silent in an instant. People on the benches, passersby—everyone turned at once to look at us.”
“Really?” one of the grandchildren cried. “Weren’t you embarrassed?”
“Oh, I was mortified,” she said with a laugh. “I thought my face would burst into flames.”
But then her smile deepened.
“And yet, in the very next moment, a group of young men sitting on a nearby bench started clapping and cheering, ‘Go on!’ Then the people walking their dogs joined in. Children who had been playing nearby began to applaud too, calling out, ‘You can do it!’ and ‘Congratulations!’ One after another, they all began cheering for us, like a great orchestra of celebration.
“It felt as though the whole world had suddenly taken our side. There was such a strange and wonderful sense of togetherness in that moment. Before I knew it, my embarrassment had disappeared, and in its place came a happiness so overwhelming it seemed to overflow from the depths of my heart. Tears streamed down my face as I gave a small nod and whispered, ‘Yes… I’d be honored.’”
When she reached that part of the story, she gently touched the ring finger of her left hand. There, a ring still shimmered softly—its brilliance mellowed by time, yet still a quiet and certain symbol of the bond they had shared.
“Even after your grandfather passed away,” she said, “the cheers in that park and the sound of his honest, unwavering voice have never stopped echoing in my heart. In that single moment, he taught me how powerful it is to truly love someone—and how much warmth there can be in the kindness of strangers.”
When she finished, her face glowed with a tender light, as radiant as that of a young girl in love. Her grandchildren looked at their beloved grandmother with eyes full of admiration, as though they had just heard a story from another, more beautiful world.
Outside the window, a gentle summer breeze drifted by, carrying with it a whisper of the park’s long-ago applause.

While our headquarters is located in Osaka, we also have branches in Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Miyazaki, Okinawa, and Miyakojima. We will coordinate the implementation of services through the branch or headquarters nearest to your preferred location.
For locations outside the city limits of a branch (or Tokyo's 23 wards), travel expenses calculated from the city center of the nearest branch will be charged.
